Moving to HK
F4Zi, Jul 16 2010
Well, I passed my first year exams in Investment and Financial Risk Management BSc (except for one that I was sick for and still have to do) and I have a place at HKUST Business School (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology) to study the whole of my 2nd year there. It is located on the coast/beach, about 40 min taxi drive from the main city.
So I guess I am moving there in August for about 10 months! Worst thing is I have to share a room with someone else for the whole year. They dont have single rooms on campus for undergraduate students... be a change from 2 floors, 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms... though rent is only $1,400 dollars for the whole year so a saving of $35,000 dollars from my apartment in London!
Have a bunch of friends also going to universities in HK for their 2nd year as well. Im planning to arrive a week early so I can explore the city and take a trip to Macau. It is going to be a great experience and add something to my CV as well.
Havent really played much poker, prob about 40 hours in 4 months. Just been spending really and enjoying myself. Went to NYC last week which was one of the best city trips I have had. Going to Sweden this Sunday for 3 weeks - first week will be spent partying at Visby/Gotland which is supposed to have one of the best afterbeach parties in Europe - after that I'll move around and visit some friends.

Since starting university in September of last year, I have struggled to balance study and poker. Also, I spent a shitload on living since then that I couldnt keep up with every week. But alas, busto to robusto.
I have exams in 2 weeks and have to get on with the revision so no poker till June unfortunately. Though, I guess I will see you in Vegas for my first time and I need somewhere to stay... feels so good winning.. 100% is mine.

Guess that makes me up more in touranaments now than cash games and my first win on Stars.
I want to say thanks to Steal City and EyeOpe as always.
Also contact me for lessons on HU cash games.. for players wanting to learn/who play 0.25/0.50 to 1/2 and want to improve.
