Having got some inspiration from Mr. Iop post about his 2011 himself (copied your layout.. my creativity is lacking today), I decided to get thinking and write something similar. Since, I don't play poker (unless one of you out there want to stake me?), I tend not to update this blog.
Unlike Mr. Iop, if someone had asked me 6 months ago how 2011 had been, I would say amazing! However the last 6 months since I have returned to London from Hong Kong have been rather unproductive (to most people eyes!).
Cliff notes:
- Met an amazing Canadian girl who I was together with for a few months in Hong Kong - until we parted ways (countries). We remain good friends.
- I did an internship in Private Equity in Hong Kong with an American company.
- Paid for two flights I did not board: one to Barcelona and one to Portugal.
- I visited Taiwan, Toronto and Macau a few times.
- I got sick for about 2-3 months after the Summer but I have recovered.
- I am in serious credit card debt.
- I spent way too much money.
- I did not make any money this year.
- My Father bought me a Porsche Boxter S 3.2L. (spolied brat I know)
- Still smoking.
- My culinary skills are beyond good.
- Improved a lot on my singing and acoustic guitar.
- We have a kitten in the family.
- I got 6 fines for parking. Got stopped by the police 3 times for speeding.
Plans for 2012:
- Get back into shape as I was in the Summer.
- Secure another internship, preferably in Private Equity/Wealth Management/Broking where I can leverage my interpersonal skills with clients.
- Pass any exams that I missed last year.
- Complete CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Level 1 and 2 by the end of the year.
- Do some more travelling.
- Start-up a specific medical company.
- Open a restaurant in one of our properties in London.
